Have been here several times. The best part of southern laos is that everywhere there's abundance of waterfall.

Not many trees have been cut down because coffee grows best in mixed shade and sunlight , under trees. If all the trees were removed, the coffee wouldn't grow well.....Further into the video...mother-in-laws tongues are called that because they are big, long and sharp...like the way some mother-in-laws speak and criticize the son or daughter-in-law...Great video and drone footage. It seems to me, watching your videos is that Laos is largely sparsely or unpopulated rainforest/jungle.

I will def be coming to Laos instead of Thailand.I could get lost forever in those mountains as I've lived and worked in them all my life here and prefer rural over urban.Those are awesome shots of the topography.Everything looks so alive,unlike our grey dingy dead winters and the leafless trees here with that stinking white four letter word beginning with an S and the temps that support it...a wonderful -4C as high and -17C Thur and lower till we get out of Feb. that can not come soon enough.

Thailand have beautiful islands and nice ocean beaches. Laos have only pristine jungles and waterfalls. The Bolaven plateau is green all year round. The climate is much cooler because it's higher elevation. It's not super hot like in Thailand when you go outside to explore.

@NowinLao
2 жыл бұрын
Actually no, not difficult for the general vehicless tourist at all. It's only 38km from Pakse, with really good wide roads. If you're not into hiring a scooter you'd have no problem hiring a van and driver for the day... we did that back in 2015 and he showed us around many waterfalls and sites of interest. Tell him what you want to see or he can suggest places. 👌

Hi Todd As with many of your other subscribers, I believe this drone view of the the Bolaven plateau, does what many of us thought was impossible, by improving on many of your other work. I know Nee Nee has some interesting family members, who may know people in the tourism department. I think they would welcome this and many other video's to be used to attract people to visit Laos. This country is not well known by many, but I believe your work could help to change that.

Beautiful place. I've seen a really large plateau somewhere in Laos when flying between Luang Prabang and Bangkok. It looked like something out of a King Kong movie. I have no idea exactly where it is but I'd love to explore it some day. Looking forward to hopefully get to Thailand from the Gold Coast for 6 months or so from February. Will cross fingers. That succulent you saw on the house roof is Dragon Fruit.

those plants that you call mother in law tongue are actualy sansevieria, they are a hardy plant in europe for the grow them in window boxes especialy in france and italy and you can neglect them and they still grow come rain hail or snow. Here in aus if you put them in the ground they will take over and they are hard to kill.
