A few weeks ago I recorded a review of my new Lapsun 14MP USB microscope kit. Although I mostly liked it, the USB problems it had stopped it from getting a thumbs up. Over the last few weeks, I've swapped dozens of messages with Lapsun trying to get the USB problem sorted.* In the end I sent the camera all the way back to China to get it fixed, but before they'd received it, they'd already prepared a firmware fix. After many weeks in transit (two weeks either way), I've finally got the camera back, so here's a follow-up on whether the fix worked and find out whether it makes me happy now. You'll also get to see my 0.5x and 2x Barlow lenses in action.
* There was briefly a follow-up no.1 video on KZitem so that I could show Lapsun that it definitely wasn't my PCs/software causing the problem. In spite of the warning message I put at the start telling people that it was too boring to watch, over 100 very bored people wasted part of their lives watching me plug USB cameras into a laptop. I have since removed that video to protect people from death by boredom. This new follow up video is a lot better - I promise :)
New firmware released on 7th March 2016 fixes the bug with recordings to SD card stopping after ~30 seconds - You can get the firmware from www.lapsun.com/uploadpic/FWMDC...
