Look at her face by the end, which expresses pure pain.

Before the song begins, Lara says, "There are some people who leave because they don't love us anymore, and then there are some people who leave because they don't love each other anymore" but the translation should say because they don't love themselves anymore". This is a song she wrote when she was going through a difficult time in her life.. Sadly, it is about leaving forever (suicide). This song has many double meanings and is so touching. Today, she is in a great place in her life. Thank you for your reactions to Lara.

In the beginning the translation is correct phonetically but there is a double meaning in french: no longer love each other or no longer love themselves. I believe Lara meant the latter. Also one needs to understand leave... for eternity. This song is about people committing suicide. Thanks for the reaction and comments.

Here is the context: this song is titled "Parce que tu pars" which means "because you are leaving" in french. This is a song about someone who is about to commit suicide. Lara wrote this song when she was thinking about this herself. She did face some health issues plus some personal/love and professional betrayals and got deeply depressed. Fortunately the love of her fans, that you can see in several videos where they are singing her songs to her, and some beautiful encounters changed her trajectory for the best. For instance, one night, she was leaving the Hotel Costes in Paris, a famous restaurant, with this suicide idea clearly in mind, when she was stopped just before walking out. It was Françoise Hardy, a singing legend and one of Lara's inspiration, who just asked Lara to wait a bit, she just wanted to speak to her 5 mn. Lara was surprised as they never really had the opportunity to meet and discuss before. But Françoise was hypersensitive as Lara, and, just crossing her path, she probably had felt something was wrong with Lara. Lara reported this encounter in an interview but didn't disclose the exact words from Françoise. She just said it changed her state of mind and saved her life. Françoise died 3 months ago after a long battle with cancer, RIP Françoise, you were on of the great, loved across all europe and up to the USA (Bob Dylan was enamored, she is in the Rolling Stone 200 list). To finish, just some final words to say that there is an english version made by Lara of "Parce que tu pars": it's called "Don't Go Away".

Lara is a great performer but she had some tough times in her career and was on the verge of leaving this world. Fortunately time is doing its job and she is happy today.

Such words, such music. We no longer love each other “that is why “you” are leaving” in tears. Where did we go wrong or it just happens? L’ abandon et le rejet pour toujours. 😢 She lived it.

Salutări din România ! Poate ați dori să ascultați și pe cântăreața româno americană Laura Bretan, care de curând a cântat pe aceeași scenă împreună cu Lara Fabian 😘👍
