Huge cheering crowds have lined the streets of Dili to welcome Pope Francis to Timor Leste.
It's the first visit by a Pope in 35 years to the country where the Catholic Church is deeply revered and highly influential.
And some activists are hoping Pope Francis addresses the highly sensitive issue of child sex abuse while he's there.
