@@alaskadudewithdogs98I'd love to see them up close and personal again myself. I saw them in Banff National park in the 80s as we were passing through. I got a close up pic of a very big one, but quickly closed the car window after doing that. lol

They really do, just a few nights ago they were standing at the door, when I closed the curtains the calf moved his head to keep watching me through the small gap between curtains

I live inside the city limits of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. A young bull moose came for a visit in early October! He came within 2 ' of my deck! He was in the rut and looked at me with those 'I love you ' eyes!

Try giving them apples, carrots, and cracked corn. Gotta help out when the snow is deep.

It's illegal to feed them, and they wont leave a steady food source. Otherwise hunters would bait them in. We usually don't feed the birds for a couple days after a moose visit. They'd eat everything and leave nothing for the smaller critters.

@alaskadudewithdogs98 reminds me of when I worked in the garage at Yosemite. I found a single frame cartoon in an old park ranger magazine that I cut out and taped to my toolbox. It showed a big sign over a two lane road that said "Yellowstone Nat'l Park." There was a smaller sign next to the big one that said "Do Not Feed the Bears." Standing next to that sign was a moose that had a sign around his neck that said "I am not a bear."

Moose : “ so you’re setting up camp here in my forest? It’s ok as long as you pay rent with food😬” what you mean “ as bad as their mother? If you don’t like it here then move to the city, I can do what I want in MY forest ‼️”

Move to the city!?!? That’s a gut punch. Despite my complaints, they’re actually the best neighbors we’ve ever had

Would the owners really be so poor if they gave these handsome guys at least a few carrots and apples!? Although I am a bit stingy, every day I go to the neighboring park and give out seeds and nuts to forest birds and squirrels! Greetings from Siberia to the wonderful American forest brothers!

lol, unfortunately once they get used to a food source they're hard to get rid of. We let them eat the bird seed on their weekly visits though
