Overall not a bad series of interviews with large professor but couldve asked less about nas and more about hip hop in the 80s. Had him paint a picture for those who dont know about red alert and mr.magic. couldve asked him more about queens in the 80s and 90s. His opinion on the east coast /west coast beef. Got some unheard stories out of him. This interview couldve been so much more if the nas infatuation didnt take over.

Rene Rivota Nah man Quik is the best producer ever.He run circles on other producers. When he work with other rappers outside the west he make music to fit them but with his touch on it.He can make music from any genre while most producers especially east coast make the same beats that sound the same or similar and can't produce for other rappers outside NY.Quik is a genius but like he said he don't pay people to go around promoting him on tv or radio so he slept on outside the west coast except his die hard fans

Rene Rivota You talking bout a popularity contest im talkin bout pure talent.Quik can play several instruments and Quik passed Dre along time ago i don't know what u talkin about.Dre dont even drop music no more and when he do he didn't produce it anyway. If Quik was from the east they would say he was royalty which he already is but you would hear his name come up all the time and he would've been honored in that hip hop hall of fame shit they got over there. They have NWA,Snoop,Ice T,Eazy E,Cypress Hill and even Too Short in there from the west.So why they never included Quik is way beyond me
