Great video, you have a good sense of humor too. I'm American and Larne was my first stop in the British Isles part of the world. Came there for a wedding decades ago (mine!) and it was the first Irish place imprinted on me. I relatively recently moved over to NI and now on the north coast, but I get the warm fuzzies when I'm coming into the harbor after motorbiking away on the big Island. So I''ll say it: I LIKE LARNE!!

It’s amazing how what people say about a place/something can completely cloud our opinions. We are really bad at that in NI. We all tend to slag off our hometowns and not realise it causes real damage.
@Sabhoh
2 ай бұрын
@@StephenJReidit’s warranted, “NI” is really trailing behind the rest of the country, Europe, even parts of Britain put us to shame. Larne is an even more special case on top of that, despite its geographical beauty it’s definitely on top of the list for the province’s most culturally, intellectually and financially deprived areas. We’ve just re-elected Sammy Wilson, the streets are littered with broken glass and discarded Loyalist regalia, a crudely sprayed swastika and Russian V under an Ulster banner sit pride of place in the Main St.,…the place is worse than ever and you’d be pressed to find a worse place

Being from Larne this has actually done it some justice. Moved to England 10 years ago and only recently moved back. You enjoy the scenery more after being away so long. You also missed the game of thrones locations, one of them being in magheramorne and another being on the mountain up behind Ballygally. It was the scene where Ned cut the deserters head off.

Don't tell anybody but it looks like the spot where a limpet has worn out a resting place. During high tide they wander about eating algae but as the tide falls they go back to the same place every time and hunker down on the rock to hold in a small supply of water. Over years they gradually wear away a depression in the rock that exactly fits their shell. The limpet that lived there must have come to sticky end, possibly chipped off by a fisherman to use as bait.
