Errare humanum est, that's what the Romans said and, with this maxim, they gave us the right that we humans have to make mistakes. But let's be clear, it is one thing to make a mistake and a very different thing is to persist in the error, to show off it or even to ignore it. This reflection leads me to remember an unfortunate event in the history of China that took place between 1958 and 1961 that caused an enormous number of deaths. The figures range between 15 and 40 million human lives lost to hunger.
