Seems like we are in Las Vegas a lot! Well with family and friends there, it does seem like it should be a regular stop. To mix it up a bit we decided to have an outing to Mount Charleston. Mount Charleston is a Mountain get away about an hour's drive from Las Vegas. At over 8,300 ft elevation it is also a getaway from the heat of the city, not to mention a get-a-way from city noise. It did turn out to be a beautiful day. To put a perfect ending to the day included a stop for a Tommy Burger!. If you’re not from Las Vegas or Southern California, you’re in for a treat. Being a SoCal native, I grew up on the Tommy’s in Burbank as well as the original on Beverly and Rampart in LA. If you do go, you need to go all the way with a Tommy’s Double Cheese with everything on it (and don’t scrimp on the chili). We ended this video with a nighttime stop at the Las Vegas Container Park. This is a cool shopping and dining area that was built out of repurposed shipping containers.
I hope you enjoy this part of our experience…
Safe Travels!
