I do like the blades on this, it reminds me of their older models. I didn’t realize the new Lasko logo was around at least 5 years ago apparently, time goes fast.

I too liked the more traditional appearance, but the performance is abysmal compared to what it used to be.

Does not seem to bad in my opinion. Low speed seems nice. As for the base. i kinda prefer this style over the 4 legged style. Reason being is that the 4 leg style tends to work itself lose. and the fan will slouch over time. And you can only tighten the screws so many times before they strip out. But as you said. it would be harder to put it by the window with the stand like this Lasko has. But i normally tend to use a Box Fan or a window fan in my windows. So i guess im a bit bias there..LOL

For 35 dollars it's not a bad fan, but for a few dollars more I think the 'Performance Series' ones or whatever it's called with the 5 petal blades are a lot better.. I wish the low and medium speeds on this were slower, there's really not much difference in air flow between the speeds.. The base is good, definitely sturdier than the 4-legs style ones.. Yeah the box fan is definitely a better option for the window.. LOL

I agree about the noise of the fan it can be a noisy especially on low. Even though I agree about today's modern fans, Pretty much I think this fan and all other Lasko fans can use a lot of tweaking up to improve their quality.

I have a lasko stand fan that I got new years ago with the same base, except its dark gray with a remote control, so the buttons are on the front, plus the front grill is metal. I prefer the rounder bases because it's more sturdy than the modern cross base with cheaper metal.

Jordan U Yes. As so I’ve seen. The bases have a metal plate inside from what I’ve heard. Sometimes you can find a good deal for them on eBay. That’s what I’ve been looking out for.

@@JordanU Don't quote me on this, but I seem to remember an Amazon listing for the model 9119 that claimed that it had 'permanently lubricated BALL-BEARINGS', 1/20 horsepower motor, and chemical-resistant Polypropylene blades. I know that the regular Lasko Cyclone pedestal fans don't have any of those. Those probably just have regular cheap-plastic blades that'll decay under sunlight. And the regular Laskos just have the plain sleeve bearing.

@@JordanU I suppose you do have a point there. Lasko's 18 inch pedestal fans, though they put out a very impressive amount of air, they do so at very high noise levels; additionally, the motors Lasko puts in the 18 inchers seem to be rather noisy. Almost every one of them I've used emits a loud humming noise right around 120 Hertz give or take.

UPDATE: my Lasko 2526 is still going strong to this day although I haven’t been using the fan much except on the summer but overall it is still good. I might order a second Lasko 2526 Pedestal Fan but I might also order a Lasko S18902 18” Cyclone Oscillating Stand Fan to use along side the 2526. In fact Jordan, could you review that Lasko 18” Stand Fan & give your thoughts about it?

Almost all modern 16" fans with the three blades are like this........very little difference between speeds. I feel like only the 18" and larger in Lasko's lineup are impressive...plus the tiny 6' fans.

Generally if a fan has little difference in speeds, there is not enough load on the motor.. These blade sets are probably not a great match to the motor..
