Was Lucky enough to predict that the LN F15s from the 494th would stop off at Aviano (Italy) given only 2 tankers assisted the F15s. This meant I could go there after college in Ipswich and see them arrive (at 18:05).
The 494th FS returned from a 7 month deployment this week in Jordan. Well done to everyone involved and it's great to have LN back at full strength.
All 12 deployed F15s seem to have returned with new nose art I don't know the first 6 off the top of my head by here is some info about TABOR81-86.
All jets seemed to have a rectangular looking shape with the name in under the cockpit and just under that there are little black lines which are vertical bomb shapes, then lots of red lines as horizontal rocket shapes. Potentially bombs representing successful bombs dropped and red the amount of enemy (Houthi) missiles shot down.
TABOR81 (tail 334) - "Red tail angles" looked like a red angle but looked smudged on the right side not sure if that's deliberate, 13 bombs, 13 missiles.
TABOR82 (tail 313) - "Mullet" There was an eagle, a panther and a person (with a mullet) with some leaves and the sun. The airbrake had "Fear the mullet" on, the red writing on the tail was "Business in the front, Party in the back". 8 bombs and 9 missiles.
TABOR83 (tail 2002) - "Warlord" with a flaming metal head. 3 bombs.
TABOR84 (tail 202) - no name. Had a Panther looking over a baby panther. 1 missile.
TABOR85 (tail 335) - "dutchman" Had a Davey Jones face on. 22 bombs and 10 missiles.
TABOR86 (tail 602) no name. Had a Phoenix on. 9 bombs and 9 missiles.
I'm not particularly happy with how my video and pictures came out here but I thought I'd still share.
