I've heard so many things about the Burnt City from so many different people, but have never & likely will never go, what with living in another continent. Nonetheless, I feel like I've almost been able to live vicariously through different artists' reconstructions and recollections of it. I'm glad it's a place in which you have been able to find comfort, too.

I’m glad you’ve experienced bits of it! I definitely recommend finding the playlist fans put together of the music in it if you haven’t already. I was listening as I painted, actually :)

I am so sad to miss The Burnt City!!! Love so much that you got to experience it, especially as it sounds weird and haunting and beautiful, like all Punchdrunk's work Thank you for this beautiful piece, Rosi ♥

I love the way you describe your experience! It wasn't fully my thing, though I loved exploring the city, being immersed in a different world and how vast it was. I've been considering giving it another go before it closes, now that I understand the story a bit better. I really hope to see them put on another show there at some point.

Occupying my mind, I have been building an app that is all my own work. It has been a labor of love, but also a frustration that is absurdly unrelatable.

This was soothing. Is the burnt city scary? It looks so interesting but also dark, and as a sensitive soul I don’t want it to be jumpy or involve any horror

As someone with an anxious disposition, I was wary before my first visit but my worries dissipated as soon as I stepped inside. I found it to be a deeply soothing and beautiful experience where all my worries shut off for three hours. Its not gory or scary - there’s a bit of fake blood here and there but nothing graphic. I didn’t feel trapped as you can wander wherever you like - if a scene gets a bit busy, you can always drift off to a quieter spot and admire the stunning set design. I hope you get the chance to go :)
