This is a 8mm video my father took on 8th Oktober 1982 at Reykjavik Airport. The Klemm L.25e D-ESUX was brought to Iceland in 1938 with a German sailplane expedition that came here at the request of Agnar Kofoed-Hansen. It was soon registered in Iceland and in the next two years was used for exploring possible landing sites throughout the country. The aircarft was also used for passenger, mail, and ambulance flights as well as on herring spotting off the North Coast. In 1940 the TF-SUX was taken out of use after an engine problem. A new engine was ordered but the spread of war on the Continent prevented its delivery. The airplane was stored for many years until Gísli Sigurðsson was given the task of rebuilding it. The rebuild was completed in 1978. TF-SUX was last flown that day in 1982 by Agnar Kofoed-Hansen. In the video you can see the first three pilots in Iceland at old age. Licence number one (Sigurður Jónsson) Licence number two (Björn Eiríksson) and Agnar Kofoed number 3. Rare color film of the three of them together.
