These audiobooks are how I get to sleep. It's not because they're boring or anything, but because I have chronic tinnitus, which is a loud (in my case) ringing in the ears, and silence makes me crazy. But it's more than that. These characters all feel like good friends, and it's like I want to know what they're up to. Besides, who doesn't like having a story read to them at bedtime?

The increasingly more accurate Rimmer impression as time goes on is genuinely hilarious. He never gets it perfect but it adds to the charm.

I used to have the cassettes of all the audio books and would listen to them to help me settle down to sleep. I'm so happy to find them on here while I'm suffering with insomnia. Thank you for uploading them x

Of all the ways to start a novel based on a popular British sci-fi comedy series, a description of prehistoric childbirth is definitely not what you'd expect

Looks like Lister's reading something more than a book about a dog named Ben. Kidding!

Also, he's read more books than Champion the Wonder Horse. It also has more than 3 words a page and it doesnt't have the words "this book is waterproof and chewable"

I listened to the previous book a couple years ago and thought the narrator was the best and this guy wasn’t as good. Now that I figured out that Craig Charles is the actor who plays Lister, it makes me feel bad for that opinion. It’s Lisfer’s voice, which is really neat.

Chris Barrie is an impressionist. Craig Charles is an actor. Craig can't mimic the voices, but he can do something far more important. Embody the characters.

I think Chris does an excellent series 1/2 Lister, whereas Craig uses his normal voice, which over time has changed as he got older, as everyone’s does

It's because Rob Grant was the real comedy force behind the show. He's also not involved in the more recent TV series, which is why they're awful.

What is his obsession with writing? Bizarrely obsessed with an android, cat, dead person and lonely Scouser. Weird, right? I mean... Probably a reason to just stop bringing up any of them...? I think they're great but maybe you're right and you should have gone back a few decades and made him stop...

One, what wrong with wanting the main character making it with the girl their dreams. One of the main power fantasy, just wish lister actually had a character growth. Starts out as a directionless space bum and still is a directionless space bum even though he has the potential. Thought back to reality and backwards brought kochanski back?
