When I asked God if it was okay for me to be gay, God said this : "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.”

@@riverogue13 ah yes the famous bible quote, remember the passage, Bullshite 12:2 “I just don’t want you to end up with a woman” You just sound like a mean person. The original comment is from an actual biblical passage so it holds much more weight. Also why spread hate and stop other people from being themselves it’s just not nice.

I am SO looking forward to being able to experience these feelings for the first time. I genuinely used to think women exaggerated about their feelings of being attracted to men lol But I have recently been talking to a girl and even though we haven’t met in person the connection is already so much more than I ever experienced before with men. I can’t even imagine what it will be like when I get to see her in person. I think I will explode 😂😂

This hit very close to home.

this is so so real!! i didn't realize i wasn't attracted to men until i started dating my current girlfriend and realized that i was feeling something i'd truly never felt before. there is that sense of mourning for all the wasted time i spent dating men, but i'm so excited that i get to spend the rest of my life with women, and i'm so grateful and in love with my girlfriend. thank you for talking so openly about your experiences - as a younger lesbian it's wonderful to feel less alone knowing that there are people 10 or 20 years older than me experiencing the same things.

There is Sexual Attraction, and Romantic Attraction! this is how we talk about asexuality and aromanticism, as they don't always come as a pair. Just a fun tidbit! aside from that. i really hope i can feel this stuff too. it still feels like the feelings people talk about are fake, but ive only been dating men until this point with no results so. maybe theres a bit of hope.
@PopeSimonX
3 жыл бұрын
Actually, I do know this. Matter of fact, I consider myself biromantic even though I'm homosexual. This is, for me, one of the reasons I could date men and have it kind of work. The romantic boxes were being checked, just not the rest of it. I still stand by my statement that sexual attraction is about more than just sex. When you're sexually attracted to the person you're with, the way they look at you fills you with feelings you couldn't experience otherwise. The words they say are intepreted differently. Their actions take on a different meaning. Everything is different. It's not just about sex. I hope that someday you can feel it too.

There are many people who come out later in life. That is just our journey. Dont regret your life to now, it is those experiences that make you the amazing person you are now. And I am sure that you dont regret your kids. It is just that now, you are ready to live a different, more authentic life. You weren't ready before. However it doesn't make your old life less valuable. Sure, now you wish you had of done this earlier, however this, right now, is when you did come out. I didnt admit my bisexuality until 50. We all do it when the time is right for us personally. Embrace and enjoy this time, but recognise that your strength now comes from all of your life experiences up to now. Enjoy these moments and treasure them, and don't regret anything that has created the incredible person you are.

Yeah I went on this journey between 17-21 where I started dating guys, and I could make out with men in the club and whatnot. And it was a bit fun and exciting but the actions were very mechanic. I remember the first time kissing a girl, and it was a friend of mine who I wasn’t even attracted to. But it was a whole different ball game, and after that I called myself bi for many years. Had to digest the feelings. And I tried to date guys and I wanted to like it. It was great guys, good looking and they had what I thought I was looking for. But I after a while it felt pointless to try so hard and I thought I just wasn’t a romantic type of person. When I started accepting the fact I might be gay and started seeing women everything fell I to place. And while I still struggle in other ways trying to navigate in a much smaller dating pool, the interactions are much more rewarding to me and I feel things I have never felt with men.

That's part of why I felt like I needed to make this video. I've had a few people, on the religious end especially, not understand why I would leave my marriage for sex. And it's not really about that, even if it is about that. I can't fully describe how much more fulfilling my relationship with my girlfriend is, but it all stems from different feelings from the beginning. For example, the phrase "kiss and make up" didn't really mean anything to me before, but now...I get it. I get why physical attraction matters on a level that didn't make sense before. I'm so grateful that I've gotten to experience these things now. I'm sad I had to wait until I was 32, but I'm so grateful that I get it now.

I realized that I was gay and I found a guy and he and I hooked up about 8 times. During this I wished I had been more fourth coming to him b/c I actually really really liked him, and at the time i just couldnt bring myself to admit that. I wish that I was able to talk to him about that at the time. At one point we held hands on his bed and it was like "Omg!!!! This is amazing!!!!" Idk if this would have worked out, but I do wish I would have taken more chances at that time. I think we would have made great boyfriends personally :)

May I introduce you to the split attraction model: for most people those go hand in hand but there are several kinds of attraction. I've heard of most of these and I understand the concept, but I stand by my statement that sexual attraction changes the game completely and is about way more than sex.
