I love that song and I love the clancy's humor. It's great that they were able to get these old songs to me here in the 21st century.

The Ciaran is Ciaran Mac Mathuna, he used go round the Country recording old Ballads and Folk songs, he created a huge archive!

Very interesting show. I see too that that's Paddy Clancy's family sitting in the row right behind Ciaran. It's too bad they didn't also talk to their family members on this show.

Was that Ciaran Bourke playing the flute in the background? It was fantastic anyway :)

@akfinneran Close, I believe It was John Sheahan on tin whistle. That is a different Ciaran. Ciaran Bourke stopped performing in 1974, and always had a beard.

@WarmasterJoshmaul Well, that really wasn't Tom or Paddy's fault in this case. Gay Byrne kept asking them questions that only applied to them. Earlier in the show, Liam did a fair amount of talking. Overall Tom seemed to be the big talker of the group. I don't think Paddy spoke nearly as much as he did.

End of part 3, Liam Clancy had a point - they didn't let him or Tommy talk too much, did they?
