Hiya, interesting question. The short answer is I don’t know As I remember, there is a gate down where the motocross circuit is Since there is a signpost to Slaley, which is near Bonsal, I assume it’s open to the public

Hi MatlockBiker, Thanks for the reply. I think that the next time I am up there I will ride along it. I contacted the council but they were no use. Even if you look on Google maps the street view ends at the farm and it only covers the first few yards from the Slayley end. Hope are keeping well, who knows, we might bump into each other one day. Regards Andy

Who knows, we might bump into each other somewhere out there. We do tend to ride the same roads 😂 I’m out today with a couple like minded friends who also own Honda Deauvilles We had planned on riding the Snake Pass, but as you’re no doubt aware, the road is closed until at least the 29th October In which case we’ll head over and ride the Woodhead Pass returning back down the Strines before stopping at Grindleford Station Cafe for a cuppa Cheers Ged

Hi Andy I just had a drink in my local with a lad from Slaley. He told me there is public access along Bonsallmoor Lane. The local farm installed the cattle grid however, the official public access is via the gate next to it. Sounds odd I know but that’s what he said. He did say the farm don’t mind if you use the grid Cheers Ged

Hi Ged, Thanks for that information. I did see some guys patching the tarmac as I rode past and I suspected they were council workers. Farmers aren’t renowned for wasting money on things like road repairs, the pot holes don’t seem so bad when your in a tractor. Regards Andy
