In this video I have discussed latest CNN News - Singapore wants to stop counting Covid cases. Its roadmap could be a model for other countries
Singapore has laid out a new vision for life to return to normal.
The Vision -
Proposed roadmap proposed by three members of Singapore's Covid-19 task force :
-would scrap lockdowns
-mass contact tracing
-allow for a return to quarantine-free travel
-the resumption of large gatherings
-stop counting the daily Covid cases
Current Model to handle covid is unsustainable but the task force members say living with Covid can be done.
The proposal is a big shift from the so-called "zero transmission" model adopted by several countries including Asian business hub Hong Kong.
This is a major news and reflects a bold plan that could become a template for other countries looking to return to normal life and resume travel and tourism.
How will Singapore achieve this plan?
Singapore is on track for two-thirds of its population to have received their first vaccine dose by early July, and aims to fully vaccinate that figure by August 9.
As more people get vaccinated, the way Singapore monitors daily Covid-19 infection numbers will change.
In the video we have discussed all other points as well that reflects Singapore plan to return life back to normal.
Our Viewpoint!
We have a strong gut feeling and speculate that between August - December 2021 we may hear some good news regarding the opening of Singapore borders for travel!
Happy Travels!
