I was given this old Tanner lathe by my friend Ben and his family, it used to belong to Bens father but hasn't really been used in years.
In this video I braze the cracked pulley cover, clean the motor, replace all the bearings and rewire it before putting the lathe back together with new bearings for the spindle, a new belt and a Nova lathe chuck.
The lathe is a model SB165 and was made by Tanner in New Zealand probably around the 60's or 70's. My bandsaw is made by the same brand.
I'm really happy with how it came out and I'm looking forward to learning how to use it properly.
