The second part "dol dol doloni" is a lore that moms or grandma's sang to put children into sleep. We've all listened to this a lot in our childhood and fell asleep to it. This lore makes us nostalgic, reminds us of our childhood.

This is incredible and I am so happy. There are so many suggestions in my head,I will keep requesting them. Hope you continue to react to more Bangla songs. In this song, the small part sang by Pantho Kanai was Bangla and rest is Hajong language. Hajong community is one of the indigenous community of Bangladesh. West Bengal State of India and Bangladesh together form erstwhile Bengal. This region is known as the centre of Indian Renaissance with Kolkata(currently Capital of West Bengal, India) as the Capital of India till 1911 under British Colonialism. Britishers divided Bengal into 2 parts on communal lines to break the impact of Bengal in India. After independence, current bangladesh became Eastern Pakistan and West Bengal remained in India. Bengali culture, literature and music is one of the best in whole world. Gurudev Rabindranath tagore's 2 poems are National anthems of India and Bangladesh. He had won Nobel for Literature in 1911. Kazi Nazarul is another great of this land. You should check out Rabindra sangeet renditions, Bengali Rock Band FOSSILS etc. West Bengal and Bangladesh both have been carrying the legendary legacy of Bengali music and art.

The song "Allah Megh De Pani De Chhaya Dere Tui" sung by Coke Studio Bangla Season 01 was sung by most popular folk singer Mamtaz Apa and Mizan Bhai former vocal of a very popular band WARFAZE, two arrogant and legendary musicians of Bangladesh. There was another person involved who I may not know but I became a fan of him. The musicians have played their instruments in a wonderful way. In a word, Shayan Chowdhury Arnob the music director of Coke Studio Bangla has performed a song that makes Bangladesh proud.

Yes with anglicised Bangla lyrics which sounded pathetic and ruined my childhood...I am glad I isolated myself from those music from a young age ...I mean who writes "Ami koshto Pete bhalobashi tai tomar kachhe chhutey ashi " - it's tasteless and pathetic ...basically toxic ...I would much rather listen to Sathinath, Talat Mahmood or Bhupen Hajarika or Nirmalendu Choudhury ...of course Subir Nandi ... The rise of metal band actually is an indication of Americanisation and globalisation with a distinct loss of identity and identity crisis no matter how good they may have been at playing those instruments ...
@ifty7017
2 жыл бұрын
@@AnanyaDas10 using one song to broadly generalize the entire genre doesnt make sense. If these ruined your childhood, it made ours. Just because it doesnt suit your music taste doesn't necessarily mean its bad. And heavy metal was largely developed in the uk too. And we have been under british influence from 1800s. So, you are plain wrong.
@AnanyaDas10
2 жыл бұрын
@@ifty7017 it is bad because it really ruined our language and dictated the taste of music of entire generation who now think this is "music" lol ...yes this entire genre is pretty pathetic ... Most of these songs are sung by below average singers (except a few) and except maybe a rare couple of the songs most of these are really bad , musically and lyrics wise too haha ... And yes that's my opinion ... What are you going to do about it hahaha
@AnanyaDas10
2 жыл бұрын
@@ifty7017 I am definitely right and you are utterly wrong because Bangladeshi metal bands could never become world famous because of their lack of substance and "out of place"-ness ...kaak er pichhone moyur puchchho lagalei kaak moyur hoye jaay na ...that's why it is very important to stick to our regional traditions and make intelligent inclusions of outside influences ... Not build an entire genre that distorts our very way of speaking Bangla ...I mean let's get it straight the essence of Bengali language does not go with the style of words being sung in metal band music ... ..Bangladeshi metal bands are only known to and venerated by select few Bangladeshis and some deluded Bengalis of India hahah ... While Pandit Ravi Shankar, the famous sitar maestro was well known world wide for his traditional music ...

@@AnanyaDas10 There are a lot of Bengali rock/metal or modern songs. So, don't generalize. And it’s 2023, not 1923. Why do you expect all people will stick only to those folk music styles? very interesting observation regarding the glottals and palatals. You are correct regarding that twang! He is actually singing in Hajong language very close to Bengali and these are mostly alphasyllabaric languages, therefore, they are too "liquidy" languages, which allows people to pronounce words the way they want. Lots of nasals and very difficult to learn! Keep it up.

the song is actually a fusion of Hajong (a tribal language of northern Bangladesh) and Bangla. Here, 'Nasek' part is sung by 'Animesh Roy' in Hajong language and the 'nasek' means 'Let's Dance'. As February is the month of International Mother Language day and Bangladeshi are only nation who sacrifice their life for mother language in 21th February in 1952. So, the coke studio Bangla paid respect to the multi-cultural languages that are present in Bangladesh. And the other part is in sweetest bangla language and song name 'Dol Dol Doloni" is sung by 'Pantho Kanai' which sparks the real magic of Festival celebration in Bangladesh. To make the songs comprehensible for non-Bengali viewers like you, Coke Studio Bangla also enable the accessibility of English subtitle. Thanks for reacting. Love from Bangladesh

The idea to celebrate International Mother Language Day was the initiative of Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, 21 February is the anniversary of the day when the people of Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) sacrifice their lived for recognition for the Bangla language. Bangladesh is the only country in the entire world who fought for their language. Later on UNESCO declared 21 February as the International mother's language day.
