I'm considering this vehicle and appreciate the tip. Working with what you had, I probably would have placed both shims on the ring gear side. Or purchased twice the shims and doubled the ring side, single opposing. Why no grease? Couldn't hurt. Probably fine stock but I plan to go brushless so I won't be screwing around when it comes to the drivetrain. Do you think this car is worth it? It's got some stiff competition for a lot less money. I prefer not to jump on the build-house clones everyone is nuts about but if I have to spend $150 for the car and another $100 to get it 'right' I'm going to have a lot to consider. Thanks.
