no problems with the wheels and tires, they're awesome. They do change the center of gravity so it will flip more in hard curves and it tends to be back heavy on big jumps but they are fun!

I just ran into that problem a few days ago. I've had the tires on for over a month and never noticed it in the dirt but it rubbed the servo screw when I was on the pavement. I'm going to try to grind the screw down a bit because it sticks out off the servo arm and I'll let you know if that works. Also I found that if you upgrade to aluminum suspension parts it adds a little more weight down low and makes it more stable in the turns (lowers center of gravity). Post a video of yours when it's done, I'd love to see it!

Aluminum is nice and strong, but if you bend it, you are screwed. You can't really straighten it out without weakening the metal, and have it break down the road. I have aluminum on my truck, but it's the bulkheads and diff covers. The rest is plastic, and the A Arms are RPM's instead of the stock ones, and they are practically bulletproof. Nice video, and great work on the upgrades.

I would buy the SG1601. I have both . The SG is 1/16 scale. You can get either brushed or brushless. I got the brushless one and it hauls ass. Way more durable than the Teton. So if you have kids that are going to drive it as well I would definitely get it. Both Teton and SG 1601 are both awesome. I got the SG1601 on Banggood.com for $90 something after taxes and I think shipping was free.

I just rebuilt mine for a 3rd and hopefully last time and used heavy bearing grease from my 0 turn wheel mower pump grease gun and just ran the dog out of it and all was good...so far. i ran the mini proline trencher tires but on 2s brushless but its a side flip show so i bought and installed wheel hub extenders (extremely heavy) but screws wouldnt fit so i special ordered machine screws from somewhere in New England state and dremeled them down to fit length, then snapped plastic cvds but the new alum rear cvds wont accept the thread on the special screws so back to the stock tires and its screams like a striped ape again. Youre right with the proline trenchers its hard to not flip on pavement. I have more fun with this truck than any other 4 trucks in the past by far. Running a 12 tooth pinion now but will run 14 tooth when it delivers this Tuesday. Should run a little over 40mph then.

I did the same thing with the lights on my SCX 24 & hobby plus. Cr24. It makes it so much easier to work on your rc when it's set up like that. I just bought a Teton today! Can't wait for the battery to charge. I want to switch to lipo's .
@LEVARIOMIKE
3 жыл бұрын
@John Lujan yeah Lipo's are the way to go. Im running a 1500 mah in mine. I also put different tires to give it more traction. Don't do what I did and hit a wood post with the right front wheel at some what high speed. I broke the front a arm and front CVD shaft. The servo was the first thing to break on mine so that was replaced with a Emax ES08MAII. Luckily I had a extra one. I don't know about the Teton but my SG1601 you can get metal CVD metal outdrive cups . Have fun!

Find something in hobbyking,there are so many cheap brushless combo there but i suggest that buy the mamba micro x or pro if you want some speed its compatible with nimh but mostly run faster with lipo,mines pretty fast though but i break my driveshafts with it because i went to fast that the rock hit the links and driveshaft so just be careful bashing with mamba motors without aluminum parts
