Great Answers to the AI interview. I followed many of your great videos and I try to make a transition to a more visual thinking notetaking, but as I cannot afford to take the full course, I was wondering if you could offer your demo vault, or at least your icon library at a more affordable price tag?

Thank you for your message and for following along with my videos. I truly appreciate your interest in transitioning to visual thinking. I understand your concerns about affordability, but breaking up the offering into smaller pieces would dilute its overall value and lead to fragments that aren’t as meaningful without the full context. In fact, I already have some doubts about separating the self-paced course from the cohort-based one, so dividing it further isn’t something I’m considering. Affordability is subjective, and I’m always working to make my content accessible to a wider audience. I've put thousands of hours into building the framework, creating the demo vault, developing the plugin, and producing free content on KZitem, all to help people like you adopt visual thinking. While I offer many resources for free, I’ve learned that when something doesn’t have a price, it’s often not valued as much. I’ve seen this firsthand, having grown up in a communist country where things with no clear value were often neglected. That said, I’d be interested to hear what you personally consider an affordable price for the full course. Your feedback helps me better understand the needs of the community.

@@VisualPKM Thank you for your reply! I appreciate very much your commitment and efforts you put into all you give for free!!! I think that for the entry level to your "Visual Thinking Workshop Self-Paced Course" a price of € 100.- would be fair to you and to less capable, but very interested people in your community, and you would spread the good knowledge to a much wider audiance. In addition the audience that you attract are already the one that are very grateful to you, so you don't have to fear that it is of no worth.

Thank you so much for the excellent course presentation! I’ve followed your work over the years and truly admire what you’ve accomplished-congratulations! I live in Mexico and would like to know whether the course price is listed in dollars or euros?

The price (400$) is reasonable and I believe you deserve even more for everything you've done for the community. But it feels a bit high, and offering the option to pay in installments over several months-like eight months-could make it more accessible for many of us. Thanks for everything.

Thank you so much for your support and understanding of the value I aim to offer. I really appreciate your kind words. I do want to make my courses as accessible as possible, but I'm also balancing a genuine concern. My fear is that with a long installment plan, some people might pay the first installment, download the Demo Vault, watch the course, and then stop paying. It's probably not a fair assumption to make about everyone, but over the years, I’ve learned to be cautious. Currently, the platform I use, Podia, only offers installment options every two months. I’ve chosen to offer a payment plan for the cohort-based course because it allows me to build a personal connection through live sessions. If someone stops paying, they lose access to those sessions, so it feels more balanced for both sides. But for a self-paced course, people could access everything up front without fulfilling their full commitment, which leaves me in a difficult spot. I'm genuinely open to ideas on how to overcome this. How would you approach this balance between accessibility and ensuring fairness for all?

@@VisualPKM I understand your concerns. One idea is to let people request a payment plan if they really need it. That way, you can see how many actually stick with it and decide what to do in the future. I know your platform might not allow this, which makes it hard. I just wanted to suggest it as a way to balance access and fairness. Thanks for your detailed response!

@netneutrality2024 I really appreciate your thoughtful suggestion. I'm actually exploring the option of offering location-based coupon codes as a way to make the course more accessible. The reality is, the value of $400 can mean very different things depending on where someone lives, and I definitely don’t want to set an unreasonable price for anyone. At the same time, I have to balance this with the fact that I need to make a living based on where I live. It’s a tricky balance, but I’m working on finding a fair solution. Thanks again for your input-it's very helpful as I try to find a workable/fair solution for this!

Do you envision AI being able to generate a 'book on a page' in Excalidraw in the future by uploading a PDF to ChatGPT?

It already can... kzitem.info/news/bejne/1KSc1GWvpaGUqY4 However the objective of the BoaP process is not to generate a pretty image, but to help you think and to enjoy the process. Those the AI can't do on your behalf

7:13 😬 referencing elon? Really? That man absolutely doesnt have the ability to think critically I really want to do this course but im too broke 😢, same as missing out on tiago fortes last cohort (i dont think hes doing another either). I desperately need to find a way help my probably adhd brain and turn my boxes and drives full of information into something useful!!

I also have a probably adhd brain... but when I grew up it was not trendy to get diagnosed. I find that the mix of reading, writing and illustration keeps my brain occupied and focused. I hope you find the funding to participate. Compared to Tiago this is a bargain.
