The pianist isn't playing notes but words. How wonderful.

Wonderful! Although I wish I didn't have to hear the audience laughing every two seconds and after every delivery. It is a live performance, so I understand that the audience and however they behave is closely tied to the experience, but it's important to be able to live quietly in the pauses between each line. Laughing in unison like a sitcom after every other remark muddles the unique aftertaste each individual line might leave during the pauses.

Hard disagree. Her pauses are intentional to give the audience space to react; she knows what's funny and what isn't. They're laughing in unison because they're feeling the same emotion in unison. She's giving a live performance, the audience is part of the performance. She's even asking them to be a bigger part than usual, by having them scream for her.

I was there. There was a lot of humor and she was playing us like any of her other instruments, to our immense delight. This performance was for this audience, tho' it's nice to have a taste for posterity. Also, the screaming was great.
