The most important connection is the one's we have to others and to ourselves. Invest time and value these relationships, they are what truly matters.

I love the fact she said that it's also hard for her to practice what she teaches. I appreciate that honesty and makes it relatable and approachable to me. Thank you for both of your work!!

To sum up her amazing course "The science of well being": - Signature Strengths: try to use your top character strengths in new ways. - Savoring: take time to savor the things you enjoy. - Gratitude: express gratitude for the people and things in your life. - Kindness: increase your acts of kindness. - Social Connection: make connections with strangers and acquaintances along with scheduling time for the people in your life. - Exercise: increase your physical activity to at least 30 minutes a few times a week. - Sleep: make sure you sleep at least 7 hours a night several times a week. - Meditation: meditate at least for 5-10 minutes a day. - Time affluence: have enough time to do what you like. - Invest in experiences: it makes us happier than investing in material stuff.

I am so grateful for this talk. For about a month I have felt lonely at my job for many reasons. I have been looking for some other purpose and my friends have only heard "depression!" I am so glad to listen to you that I am like MANY other people. I am so grateful!!

I agree. We need our close friends to stabilise ourselves in this rocky journey called life. Our friends help us understand ourselves better and laugh at everything that stress us.

This resonated with me on so many levels. Missed out on so many relationships while trying to maintain a perfect grade point average in college. As I look back, it really wasn't worth the entire commitment. Thank you for hosting such a great guest, Jay!

We all need to find ourselves and believe in ourselves, understand how powerful we are and how much we are capable of, how much we can achieve. You 're powerful and there's nothing that you can not do ♡

Recently i figured out having social connection makes us happy. I was stressed out because of studies and exams. But then i thought i should just stop and have fun so i visited my friends and had more and more talk and it made me so relief like im refreshed. I guess people need to communicate not through phones or anything but just be there and sit and have a talk. It do fix you no matter what you are going through. Studies are not everything I guess for a university students like many of us.

The Coursera class is quite dull. She sites mostly studies that are over twenty years old and most of they information is repeated several times little there isn't enough material. You could honestly shorten it up into two weeks instead of ten.
