In relationship it goes both ways. I have use this tactic (naturally not intentionally) & booyyyyy to the girls come back.... unfortunately for them my interest left the building so they were left with what if. This law works fine but you will be the one watching people cast away from you. It's a different feelings I can't explained. You must experienced it for yourself to fully comprehend. Just felt like pointed out a different scenario I know the video isn't about relationships but it is also just as effective.

I used to be be the doormat/scapegoat for my parents and siblings. Ever since I started only seeing them once a month (instead of every day) , and chasing my goals, they chase me, are interested in my story and life, and are proud of me because they know me only through my accomplishments, not as a doormat who is always there to stomp on.

There's a caveat to this and that is: "If your absence doesn't affect people, then your presence never made a difference." The point is, while this video does have Merit, don't waste your time in the wrong place, or with the wrong people. Remember, people make time for whom and what they want. And if certain people don't make time to invite or include you, or they do but don't treat you right when you're with them, and this can be either friends, or a boy or girl you like, then that person/people are not worth your time or consideration.

Following your interrogations, the story definitely makes sense to me! Very explicit and furthermore with your indepth interpretations : creating a dependence to a value nobody else can bring and then going away increase even more the interest into your value, mainly because of the fact that things you can't take for granted, are way more appealing. Especially when the value you offer is no where else to be seen (I'm repeating myself here, but I try to be the most explicit and feel like it was needed). Max B.

The picture of the sun pushes it even furthermore, that's why I like cloudy, rainy weather, only because of those you then appreciate the sunny weather. I thought I wanted to live in a sunny country and during my recent travels, I discovered that having sunny weather and hot temperatures everyday just made me hate it, find every flaws of it : mosquitoes, sweating, electronical stuff melting... And when I got back to France, during winter, I deeply appreciated the cold temperatures and grey sky... My opinion is that one can't appreciate anything to the fullest until one miss it deeply.
