At Oregon Fir, We have found them birthing/nesting in the barn, or in the trees outside our house, but never on the move in a wide open (mowed) field. Mommy looks like she still has another one in her. Usually they look very thin after birthing. Mommy still looks "plump". Usually the "nest" somewhere "secure", I think this little one was a surprise. Then mommy got anxious to move out of the open field. Can they have a delay between birthing the twins? We have had multiple sets of twins here, and the mommy is always very thin afterwards. I guess we will know in a few days when mommy makes the rounds through here with her tot(s) in tow.
I did not believe when told that this was happening, so I delayed.
It was about 7:30 at night so I had to stress my brain and camera on adjustments for lighting.
Using Nikon P1000, manual focus, Wet AMD.
