I run a 36 stand on and actually bought a 61 inch zero turn because there was someone who needed 5 acres cut bi weekly. Brings in $1250 a month. More than covers my mower payment and all gas ran through all equipment for the month. On top of all my other properties. Sometimes things happen if you’re in the right position

Good tip about getting into backyards with gates. I settled for a 54" deck because it just makes it through the gate. I have a string attached to lift the discharge gard. Super happy with my Toro Timecutter MyRide 54". Residential use only. If your buy for a business, I think the upper line of the Toro is just as good as the EXmark for a lower price. They use many of the same parts.

Right. Scotty Kilmer doesn’t mind throwing the junk car brands under the bus every day. I need to know what to avoid

If you really want to know, it's anything made by MTD. So Craftsman, Troy Bilt, and Cub Cadet. Honorable mention would be John Deere (no fabricated deck and parts cost - you're really paying for the name instead of quality)

Great advice. I personally use a 52" Exmark Lazer Z with 24hp Kawasaki engine. It's the perfect size for me. Shout-out from Anniston.

Another great video. Since I do city lots I've operated a Timemaster and 21" for ever. But my second service area is full of larger properties with little gates. Something about Houston builders and tiny gates. Anyway, I'm looking at something bigger, but also easy on the body. As I get older I prefer comfort of trinkets. Best cut, most productive and least wear on body...

It's not that Houston has smaller gates. The gate companies love smaller gate because it is easier on their cheap hardware. I had a custom gate made and they still screwed it up!

Hey Jason, let me ask you a question; a big practice is to hose bermuda down with glyphosate while it's dormant to promote a clean slate in spring time. Can this be done with st.Augustine? I know st.Augustine doesn't normally go completely dormant but the last couple seasons we've had hard freezes, and my st.aug here as far south as southeast Texas has gone 95% paper sack brown dormant. Has anyone even tried it with documentation? Keep up the good work with your channel, we appreciate the routine uploads and real world advice. Thanks.

What would you recommend for a lawn and snow company in Canada? Where we would do lawns in the summer and snow blowing in the winter. We would focus on mainly residential. So each person would be their own business owner and would work solo and have a light duty trailer that they pull behind a light duty truck or light duty SUV. They could fit everything they need in that trailer to be able to offer basic lawn services and the summer and then offer driveway clearing with their snowblower attachment in the winter. We are opening a division that does that here in Canada soon and I would love to know what your opinion is. Thanks for making these great videos!

Don't forget the majority of zero turns are made of the exact same components. The frames, seats, and controls and a few other gizmos is what is different. Most of them just copy each other at Louisville every year. Water cooled engines, metal pulleys, and heavy duty hydros are what make a mower good.

I've been looking at the John Deere 52". Do you have any thoughts on John Deere zero turn? Would it be something that you would buy or do you steer clear of John Deere?

Can u get exmark with suspension like ferris or bad boy?

No suspension on the machines but Exmark and Toro have a “myride” system that suspends the operator platform. It takes away all of the shock to your body, so you don’t notice missing suspension. The Ferris and Simplicity suspension paired with their seats are very comfortable.

Delivered a nice even cut, has the super tight turning ability kzitem.infoUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend I was looking for, and is just a blast to drive. It takes a little bit to get used to driving one after driving a normal tractor style, but once you've got it, you've got it. If you're cutting lines, you have to be careful spinning the mower around or the back tire will dig a bare spot. Just take it nice and slow during the turn and then it's back to full throttle across the yard!
