my dad raced midgets on eighth mile dirt track similar to this in Pocatello late 1940's to early 50's ... for those who don't know midget racers have small v8s or sixes with strait drive ...no flywheel or transmission or clutch ... push to start and use brakes to kill the engine and stop

Viny, congrats on breaking 40K subs man! Your channel is going to blow up soon enough. Keep making us laugh and allowing us to watch your builds and adventures.
Looking at your 1st person camera footage reminded me a lot of my one time racing. My uncle, who is actually younger than me, is a big time "car nut". I mean that in a good way. He lives fast muscle cars and is a mechanic by trade. He actually lived in a junkyard and built cars out of what he could find there. Anyway, he invited me to attend a race he was going to be in at the local dirt track. I thought it would be fun so I agreed to go. It was pretty much stock street car racing. The cars had roll cages, harnesses, and fire extinguishers, so not just any car off the street, but most looked like they had been in a demolition derby or two. Well after the main races had finished they decided to have a "mechanics" race. Since my uncle is his own mechanic he asked me if I wanted to race as his mechanic. Well what are you going to say given that opportunity, "Heck yeah!" And so I had my first, and last race on a dirt track. I, like you, was racing a vehicle that wasn't mine and that I was totally unfamiliar with. It was also an automatic, and I drive stick. Going around an oval track with just push the pedal and go. It was fun, but I really think I would have done better in my own car. Anyway I got third place out of five cars in the race. Two of them blew an engine during the race. Yea me? My wife watched me race, and after it was over told me never to do that again. I think she was worried about me. 😼

Hey thanks, but no, I never said why, well it's really basic, it's just cause of time. You have about 8 races per summer, so every other week-end you're racing and the week after, youre fixing it or preping for the next one...I was pretty much only doing that for 3 summers in a row...the wife had enough and me too! 😅 That's what I like about lapping with the Smart-Busa, you go if you wanna go 🤷♂️
