It's crazy how we are all so critical of our own lawns - because when I look at your lawn, it looks incredible to me. I don't see any negative effects at all lol. You have a beautiful property all around. Hope you enjoy this long weekend coming up and get to enjoy the mow!

I guess it’s because we see it everyday lol and see every little flaw where someone else wouldn’t notice lol. Have a great weekend yourself!!

It doesnt look bad at all. Dont be too hard on yourself. You cant control the weather. Its just grass. It will grow back. Love the videos!

Yeah buddy, always an adventure out there whether dealing with rain or drought. Turf already looks good to me but can't imagine how it will recover in the next week or so. 👍

I know you were just comparing it to how normally your yard is, but I sure wish I could get my yard to be that shitty!😂 I’m always fighting fungus. It makes me wanna just give up and just let it be whatever. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve sprayed fungicide when they say no chance of rain for days and just when I get done spraying it, here comes the downpour to wash it all away! Wouldn’t be that much of a deal if that stuff wasn’t hundreds of dollars a gallon.
@Primetime_Fescue

Thats a fact about the fungicide it happens regularly! Good news is most of it is systemic and if it does wash the roots can take it up and translocate it upwards.

Just today I damm near scalped my fescue yard and power raked it hard. I just want that brown crap out of there. I did 2 0z pr K of propaconasol and will be mowing again as low as I can next day it is not raining, It is coming off regulation from annew so it is growing like gang busters. I dont see how it can get better if it never can dry out. I know how you feel.

For someone who doesn’t have access to an aeravator; for cool season - would you recommend solid tine aeration in spring and summer with core aeration in fall?
@Primetime_Fescue
Ай бұрын
Absolutely! You would never want to run areavator over it in the summer even if you had one. It’s just to aggressive and would stress it out a lot! Only way I would do that is if I knew a big rain was coming and that’s pretty hard to know with the weather predictions now lol. Solid tine is perfect for the summer and the spring!

Hey Brad, what are your thoughts/experience with gypsum? Beneficial when aerating?
@Primetime_Fescue
Ай бұрын
I use it a lot of folks don’t believe in it but I use it around my trees and around my perimeter where it’s gets hard and compacted. Aerate then apply the gypsum that will be most beneficial

@@Primetime_Fescue it’s hard to find anything on it other than what’s on their website. They mainly make stuff for crops and have been around for 30 years so maybe their stuff works lol. Not sure.

@Primetime_Fescue Brad I think I went too heavy on my first ever full renovation of tall fescue. Is there anything I can do if it’s coming in too thick? Thanks Brad! Best channel ever! My new favorite channel!

@catherineagarcia7964 rake it with a dethatch rake that should thin it some and allow it to breathe
