In this video we complete our sod project by preparing the ground with the John Deere 1025r and King Kutter XB Tiller and then use the tractor to move the sod to where we're putting it down.
See previous video called Hauling Sod to get an idea of the area we are covering.
Behind the scenes:
Filmed with GoPro Hero5 Black 60fps 2.7k. Mostly in linear mode, but a few tiller shots were in wide setting.
Intro scene with truck was filmed on a Nikon D7100 1080p 30fps.
Editing:
This was a monster editing project. It took many many hours!! Part of that was learning new features of Adobe Premier CC 2017.1. I’m a little inconsistent in the titling with this video. I wanted to explore different motion graphics templates and settings. Check out Justin Odisho’s You Tube channel - I watched several of his videos to help learn editing techniques used in this video. I’m not saying I’m good at it, but I am learning!
I decided to render this at 1080p 60fps vs 2.7k - partly due to the long render times. Also learned about KZitem's processing of that resolution to 1440p, so decided to just output at 1080p. I think I will do most future videos at 1080p until I can do full 4k.
I used less voice over and added some music clips from KZitem’s library. It’s pretty generic stuff, and I’m not very good (yet) at picking the right clips for the scenes, but this video attempts to tie in background music in an additive (not annoying) way. Let me know if I succeeded (or not)…
Songs used:
Southern California
Rural Stride
On My Way Home (Sting)
Local Saloon
Bomber Sting
Worms were harmed in the making of this video.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it! Cheers!
