This is a great system, excellent synergy, good sound from the speakers/room that have the greatest loss potential. Even when listening online at lower resolution, room and speaker coloration are clearly audible, and common experience. This system sounds really good on my end, remarkable!

I can appreciate the gear. I am an audio engineer and can tell differences others may not notice. I have a nice set over here with an older Fisher amp and Bose speakers. No matter how it sounds coming out of your speakers, it will only sound as good as my speakers, or should I say, your setup is colored by the playback system and the only real way to demo this equiptment is with the listener where your microphones are.

I got 4 RPA-16s in line with 4 JBL party-box 710s hardwired. 4 PBG-18 subs and 4 RSG-15.24 towers. Plus 2 INFINITY SM-122s.. Pioneer amp. 120 watts per side. with 2 12" woofers. 2 ploy-cell tweeters and 2 midrange 3" speakers, 16 Bullet tweeters and 4 Horns.. Rockville stuff mostly a pro DJ setup in my 12X15 foot room.. come take a listen.. All together RMS outa of the 4 RPAs is 5000-watts.. that's halfway up and with hardly any noise except the fans. Nothing Bridged which I'm looking into. The 4 PBG-18' subs can take about 1000 watts all night @ 8 Ohms.. I'm forcing a signal into the Party Boxes VIA EQ to bring the signal up to BLUETOOTH specs..

How much is this system? And it has harsh, spitty treble? No depth, no dynamics. Not impressed, but also not surprised. Could, of course, just be terrible mics. Listened to the original, from You Tube (to take compression out of the verdict), and it confirmed my thoughts. Check out some of New Record Days recordings, where he plays the original, then recorded. Really hard to spot the difference on some of them...

I was wondering why this sounded so “thin” in dynamics and detail…???… Oh, you’re spinning the antique that is vinyl!! McIntosh’s Amish Industrial design of these speakers is just plain ugly as are those gravely grills. But having that much baffle especially with drivers so close to the edge of the cabinets is inexcusable. Long overdue for a fresh and more common sense total makeover!!
