Yes, and the peace-love-unity-respect of these nights notwithstanding, the little interviews also inwittingly shine an interesting light on the UK class system with, for example, Peckham-style leave-it-out Rodney off his head and making words up while Eastbourne boarding-school Ossi seems in fuller posession, no pun intended, and destined, possiby, to a little more privilege in life?

When the lad, Lee's talking about the different styles at that venue alone, it shows how fast things were moving! The rave/club scenes, the sub-genres, amount of new records, artists and DJ's. Everything was shifting at a crazy pace! So much imagination, experimentation, talent and focus, on the production side of things. I was still a bit too young at the time, but had an insight, through older friends and a lad my age, who got access via his bouncer brother-in-law. Rocking his Pandemonium: Andromeda bomber jacket to school. Best wishes out there. To those who lived it, knew it, or are maybe just discovering such an incredible era! God bless x

Yeaaaah! The Lazerdrome!!! What a place! if I wasn’t there between 1991 and 95, I was at Labyrinth, Paradise Club or somewhere similar. Damn I’m grateful for the 90s! I have managed to swerve the marriage/children/mortgage/boss scenario and so I’m still up to my old tricks. It’s just harder to find somewhere to go and dance to some proper Jungle. Shout out to the 265-267 Rye Lane massive, passing through.

I started going to Labyrinth in my early teens. Used to sneak out my parents’ house, catch the last tube to Dalston, rave my tits off, catch the first tube back in the morn and climb back into bed and be at breakfast later in the morn, still rushing trying to be as normal as possible… The garden / chill out area at the Four Aces was where I met some of the wickedest lovely people ever. Miss those days. Big up n much love

I went to the Innersense 30th Birthday party at Peckham Audio last year. Wicked event, probably the best old school event I've been to because it was pure underground bizzle, tunes only ravers who were about at the time would know. I also saw a couple of breddas I ain't seen for 25+ years....good to reconnect! Went Tim Reaper's FutureRetro night there a couple of weeks back too. Good to see new generation carrying the sound on. Different type of crowd to my day though, all posh kids, but that's all good, nice to see next gen' junglists!

@MCcheck97 Yup, he wasn't a local! I was, lol! I grew up on the estate where Lazerdrome was located. TBH, raving was an escape from fights / confrontations on an almost daily basis on the ends, while growing up poor. Wouldn't change it for the world though! I met headz from all walks of life out raving, but the Hardcore and Jungle sound was ultimately a working class, lower middle class scene. It's different now. It's all posh headz, but they're keeping the new school jungle scene alive, so fair play to 'em!
