Great video. I did all mine with a shorter ratchet. I did all mine in 30 mins with a rachet strap and ratchet brake them loose and come take them out after. Run the strap down against the fire wall and make sure it not against your lines from under the truck keep the ratchet straing on your mounting location .(closest to the rear of the front fender. I also let mine warm up than started working on it.

You are the hero, with this snap-on tool the job get a lot easyer. Up and Downpipe are removed, uppipe mounted. Today follow the 3" ppe downpipe install. Thank you

@@pascalkobler1020 the PPE downpipe didn’t fit? Did it touch the up pipe?
@pascalkobler1020

@@zhongxina5595 no, not with the OE Up-Pipes and also not with the PPE Up-Pipes. There was an ½" gap by the turbo seal. Answer from ppe: "You can increase the clearance needed by dimpling the downpipe as needed. Our mechanics use the round end of a ball peen hammer to accomplish this." 🤣 I have to dimpling so hard, it was smaller than the stock pipe. So i ordered a FloPro 10101 Downpipe, it also need dimpling, but not so hard. I ordered also an mbrp Downpipe, but it aarive too late, and once ghe FloPro was installed, i don't will take it out only for test if it fit better - so it happens - on my garage wall of fame hangs a brand new mbrp 3" downpipe.

@@zhongxina5595 no problem. I remember, in dec 2017 when i install them - i was very disappointed. The ppe manifold and up-pipes was 1'000$. I except more for that. Now, these Kits are cheaper from dmaxstore or others... keep 'em on the road bro 🤘

thiskid7765 I think you can google the part number I showed in the video. It's a snap on tool so if you see the Snap On truck then stop it and buy it from there.

Not enough space for a socket on the passenger 14 stud/nut. You just used that wrench on it?

Ya I was able to get all the bolts off with the tools mentioned in the video. Haven't done another one since this video so I don't have any better ways.

@@alexstout7117 well I appreciate the vid. I got the SRD6 tool and got 4 of the 6 off at the moment. Got to find the right angle to pull for that bottom middle (would be much easier if it would still accept the 12” extension for that one) and get a longer box wrench like yours for that passenger nut.

This same style tool srd6 comes in most any Timing Belt Tension Setting tool Set. Probably rent-able from most auto parts store i think harbor fright has it as well. But take note that most are only 6 or 7 hex and wont except 1/2 drive

I rented one and broke it they are not built heavy enough to take the torque you need to get those bolts out just buy the snap on tool and your job will go smoothly

How did you get the passenger side 14mm and that middle 12mm? You used the long ratchet wrench right? I can't fit the srd6 on the 14mm and cant get a good angle on the middle 12mm

+Black duramax dually If it were me i would take a sawsall to the downpipe right where it bends to go down the firewall. Then it would give you a little better access to the bolt to get an extractor to it or whatever else would get the nut off. Just my .02 cents

The extension is just a 10 inch long 1/2 extension. The tool attached to that is from snap on. Srd6 I believe is the part number
