This morning we have a chill in the air with a 50º degree morning. It's sunny so things will warm up as the day develops. Right now there's north west winds so it really feels like fall. There's still a 1-3' swell lingering from Kirk (as well as small but new energy from Leslie possible). Incoming tide all day with high about 1pm this afternoon. The waters are cooling and currently the LBI surf sits in the mid 60's. Here on the mid-moon of October and we are transitioning out of the Mullet run and into prime fall fishing. Fish are being caught here on LBI with tog, bluefish, kingfish and more striped bass everyday.
As I reported in the video, it's possibly the first migrating fall run fish have arrived. Go Time!
