How are you getting the lower bolts for the y-tube back in place?

Hello, I use a 1/4" extension about 10" long with a swivel head with electrical tape holding the 10 mm nut on

@@sempergumby8734 nice thanks for the reply, I've done that before and used too much tape and the socket comes off the extension and stays with the bolt lol.

Thank for the video! Because of the coolant line behind the oil fill, draining the coolant is required it seems like?

So this fixed the issue? I’ve had poo87 going on for about a year and been chasing it. Haven’t tried this yet. Looks like I don’t want to try it 😅

Hello, if you have a scanner you can test your fuel reg, and each injector to ruel those out. If one injector has a high return rate it will throw the code.

Did you figure your issue and what did you change @jacobepps4362

My buddy replaced his pump on his lbz and still got the code and it was because there was 2 injectors going bad that was the actual cause of the code in his truck changed the 2 injectors and the code never came back changed a perfectly good cp3 lol

Yes doing a return test is alot of work to do on the lbz injectors to determine which ones are bad. If the milage is above 150k, then changing the cp3 id say is preventive maintenance 👍

I spent way too long trying to work around the coolant by pass line. There was no room for me to get any type of socket on that bottom left CP3 bolt. I ended up removing the fan and removed all the bolts for the line and cut that hose and peeled it off (needed to be replaced anyway) and put a new hose on there. I'm curious, how did you torque down your CP3 gear?
@sempergumby8734

Yes the bottom left bolt was a pain to remove with the hose in the way. That's good you got it off. The gear for the cp3 I used a vise with plastic inserts to hold and torque down

I’m having trouble removing my CP3 it feels stuck on something and won’t budge, I have a LB7 same bolt locations but still can’t get it out

There should be 4 bolts holding the CP3, turn the motor over by socket and rachet at the harmonic balancer. Cp3 is gear driven so gears could be tight. If still don't come out, use a pry bar and pry each side of the pump towards the back of the motor. Becareful of the aluminum coolant crossover. Also if you don't have the y bridge removed, the pressure regulator with sit up against it.

How did you get y Bridge installed
@sempergumby8734
Жыл бұрын
The Y bridge is alot easier with the bridge tube removed to reinstall. Also remove the 2 bottom studs that holds the bridge down, the 2 towards the front of the motor. Leave the 2 in the back on, using the opening on the bottom of the bridge slide back into place and onto the back 2 studs. Reinstall the front 2 with nuts and the top 4 bolts. Snug them down till get all I'm then torque them down evenly. Reinstall the tube and you should be good
