Ingredients
Jaggery-250g or above as per your quantity
Water-1/2 cup
Cardamom powder-1 teaspoon
Coconut oil-2 drops
Preparation:
Shred the jaggery or cut the jaggery to small pieces and add half cup of water. Cook it in very low flame.let it get thick . Add the cardamom powder when it starts boiling. In each stage of thickening please do check frequently if it reached the right consistency. To know the right consistency , take some normal room temperature water in a transparent glass. Just drop the jaggery in to the water 💧 .
1. If the drop sets as a drop without dissolving, then touch it with the hand and see whether the drop is sticky on your hands. If yes then it’s right consistency.
2. If the drop was dissolving to the water then it’s not the right time to stop cooking.
Once you get right consistency ,off the flame
And pour it in the clean counter top or flat surface.(surface and your hands should be greased with coconut oil). Now just fold the hot jaggery with a spoon. Then use your hands to stretch the jaggery as in video. More stretch , more chewy will be your sweet.
