Not long after our son was born in the Philippines, my wife Charlene and I decided we wanted to give him the absolute best opportunities and advantages that only the United States can offer. As much as we both wanted to stay in the beautiful Philippines we would sacrifice anything for our son. We will return for visits with the family, but for now we’re going to experience living the Filipino/American life in Idaho.
What was supposed to be an 18 month approval process for a CR1/IR1 spousal visa turned into a 2 1/2 year wait as the 2020 pandemic delayed the process. In this video I drive from Idaho to Los Angeles, California to pick up my wife and son at LAX. From there we spent two nights in the beautiful mountain town of Wrightwood, Ca just 77 miles northeast of Los Angeles. Such an idealistic place to bond with family and enjoy the wonders of nature. Finally, after I drove back to Idaho my mother got to meet her grandson and daughter in law for the first time.
