If kpop idols are trained to dance more than singing then they can be just a dancer in my opinion. They all need evenly trained on vocals and dance. Being cute is not going to cut it

I agree to the fullest …Actually when I watched their performance I was like I may have a chance to be a singer if this goes on…(I have terrible vocals )with all due respect they are called singers not dancers …..

You said that you don't understand why k-pop companies don't really train their idol trainees in vocals, and, unfortunately, the answer is pretty obvious, they know that no matter how bad the idols sing, they can fix it in post production and autotune and they can just make the idols lip sync for their whole career, while their fans will swear up and down that they are AMAZING vocalists. The companies DO put emphasis on dance and visuals because those can't be faked (yet). You can rest assured that as soon as the companies figure out how to do that well enough to fool most fans, the trainees won't get proper training in that either, and will only continue with their PR and selfie lessons...

i read this and i did finally fully understand. I just wished there was more emphasis on vocals so actual live performances dont end up sounding like nails on a chalkboard

@@christinetheyapper I completely agree. A group that can't actually sing live is just a glorified dance group for me. They are SUPPOSED to be singers, so teach them how to sing.

Hi!! Quite a revelation here. While admiring their Beautiful faces and cute dance moves, i MUST AGREE that any artiste, doing a Live! gig on an international stage, MUST be of International Standards too!!!....That's why Mega Stars...are MEGA STARS....TO DELIVER A PERFECTLY PITCHED VOCAL STANDARD.....JUST SAYING...

tbh I’m not their fan, not a fan of their vocals as a whole, but I went to watch their live performance of Fire in the Belly and thought Chaewon absolutely slayed despite dancing non-stop. Sure she had a crack on her last high note but I was still impressed and I understand vocal cracks happen to even professional singer sometimes, so that wasn’t my concern at all. She did so well overall in that song. I wasn’t surprised Yunjin wasn’t really stable because I never thought of her as a good pop vocalist in the first place. She had her good moments though, and with consistent training, she will definitely improve and make a vocal comeback stability-wise. I didn’t have high expectations for them predebut, so I wasn’t disappointed by anything I’ve seen from them so far.

Totally agree~ this is certainly NOT the best performance of a K-pop girl group. I mean seeing what Black Pink has done before, it’s obvious, they should at least be a bit more humble and say they’ll continue to train harder and bring better performances lol~

considering the issues right now involving Hybe, and allegations about them being obsessed with BP and Aespa who both performed already in coachella, you know the direction and possibly due to greed or obsession of taking over both ggs influence globally, their coachella stunt has been received negatively instead of hyping LSF and gain more fans, its the other way around, because to be brutally honest they are not really prepared enough or LSF is really not ready to be live performers without the assistance of backtrack, AT and AR, hybe should have considered that aside from the live audience, the livestream audience is more brutal and just waiting for them to mess up. I just hope that the girls will shutoff soc med for the meantime, its not good for their mental health and hybe should really take the vocal trainings for their idols seriously esp the ggs

I think it is just mainly HYBE...it seems they are on a rush to win over influence on their girlgroups....I know that some girlgroups from SM and JYP majorly are not like that

Yes I understand where you are coming from BUT they worked extremely hard and as every kpop stan SHOULD KNOW that idols go through so much: fainting all the time, sickness, hater, toxic fans, and much more so what gives you the right to say that they didn't give their all and they should go to vocal lessons. That was a big performance with a lot of pressure and people .Imagine being in that position of all this guilt knowing personally that you could have done better and they don't you to add more guilt even after all the hard work and pain.

I do agree that idols work hard, I honestly just wish the training system provided more vocal training. I do think they worked hard though!

Yes they work hard however the job is dancing and singing.. if you’re performing poorly at your job you either improve or fail… and even if you are “the best” there’s still always room for improvement and you as a stan of whomever should want that for your faves…

I feel like some parts of it being focused on dance is for the sex appeal or to have a popular dance challenge but that's just my opinion 🤔
