If you need any advice CheapRVLiving here on KZitem is a well of knowledge for van lifers and any other sort of nomad. He does have a couple mobile Internet videos but I don't remember the solutions being amazing either, decent enough for a normal person but maybe not a streamer. You could also move in a similar direction to Noah Caldwell-Gervais another KZitemr living out of a van, granted he's a video essayist and travel KZitemr not exactly a streamer or a constant uploader. Either way I wish you luck with this

Build a raised full size bed with a memory foam mattress, from drivers side to passenger side. Youre not a kid anymore. next to the bed in the rear, by the barn doors, youre gonna want your pc/tv/xbox setup. This solves your entire phone cast/gaming dilemna, as well as provides adequate heat venting without too much fabrication. behind your drivers seat youre gonna want your kitchen/stove/ pull out seat seating area. You can integrate a platform that goes over your bed and use that for eating/gaming. you can have the kitchen sink go out the side window for hair showers, and use that slider window as well for propane venting. You have a roller type chair that can give you plenty of room to be comfortable by cooking, cleaning, and gaming all from one chair. That topper has plenty of room for you to hang a platform up there when not in use. Trust me on this every square cm counts. Under your bed youll have storage and your kitty's litterbox. Working part time for Doordash and Ubereats is now your best friend. You can start helping that old ford transmission by changing the transmission filter, replacing the fluid in the pan, and adding Lucas Anti-Slip. Will extend the life significantly. I used to live out of a van too, then I got into an accident, and had to sell my van to keep my pickup going. Yes it sucks, but at least you have CAD to figure everything out. This is how I used to do it. with a full size air mattress, an ikea cabinet, a roller chair and some dryer ducting I made it all work for a long time. You have the benefit of a raised roof. You have to really take the time to plan it out. You'll be living in there for most of the time. Got to make use of it. And you think you might get A/C? Buddy, trust me, youre getting A/C. Unless you drive from the north and sound every summer and winter. PLAN AHEAD!!! YOU GOT THIS HOMIE!!!

Ive thought about building a larger bed that goes across the back instead of the small one running the length of the van. Problem is that the width of the van is roughly 68-69 inches. Im 6'4", so its not a comfortable position. Id rather be willing to stretch out than have extra unused width. Its also not as tall as it seems, its only about 70 inches in the center, and the overhead storage built into it brings it down to about normal van height over the back and sides, so building anything over the bed while still having space underneath becomes problematic. Im sure the design will change a bit while Im building it and can visually see and feel how the layout works, but I think this is going to be the best I can get while being as tall as I am.

"I really shouldn't have bought this but I did so here I am" that is exactly where I was at with my van for some time. I do not live out of it full time though, primarily it's used for camping but it could be made to live out of with a few small changes. I am sure you have done a lot of research, but I'll give you some of my advice anyway: You are going to need more power. Consider having some way to charge your batteries from the grid, something like an extension cord you can plug in when you can find an outlet (parks, industrial areas, etc). The battery setup you mention will be fine to get you through a night or two, but I would be surprised if you had power for any longer than that. Keep in mind, a single 400W solar panel will only give you 400W on the sunniest day of the year (it sounds like you will have multiple, which is good). Also, something that is common in other countries where power is much more expensive: do all your heavy power consuming tasks when the sun is out. ie turn off the computer when the sun goes down. It will be difficult to adjust but depending on your budget this could make all the difference. just my 2 cents though, one thing I've found about vanning in general is that so many people will give you shitty advice. Only you can figure out what works for you when it comes to living in a van.

My parents told me if I graduate and would like to remove my college debt quicker/ be able to put a down payment on a house, I could live with them as long as my priorities are straight and I have a job in the career I study for. BTW you should see if there are any loose ends financially that could be more effectively spent, such as cutting your own hair, not eating out, no soda or expensive items that are not necessary to live in a sufficient manner... I bet you have already thought of most of that but hey, it is worth a shot asking! Hope you succeed to the point of living in something better than a van!

Considering you paid 2500 for it, I'd say that's a win in this current economy. I paid 3K for my 99F150XLT with the 5.4 Triton. Put money in it and despite my dad having this mentality that it's not worth dumping more in it than what you paid for, the current economy says otherwise. I'll be clinging to this truck for as long as possible. The 4WD is still strong. Transmission is still good. Already paid to fix some of the issues. I want to squeeze more power of this engine but that would require new pistons, headers, cam shafts and crank shaft. I want to hit 300hp naturally aspirated rather than force it through a supercharge kit. Though the kit is cheaper I can get more stable results without compromising reliability by swapping the parts that contribute to the power. Then again, might be easier to find a used crate LS3 if it's not priced over 10k. For internet you've chosen the golden bowl of internet. A golden toilet bowl that's getting shinier with their bandwidth speeds improving. You still can't beat old fashioned land cable though. If you're interested in leeching on us viewers who have unlimited just ask.

Besides the spark plugs blowing out of the heads the 2V 5.4 is a very reliable engine just keep up on oil changes and use good gas and it should be fine, and if you do a swap a 3V 5.4 even if everyone says they are junk (they aren’t if you know what your doing) or a coyote since they share the same bell-housing as a 2V

If you have t-mobile in your area, you should get their home internet. The router they send you is just a fancypants wireless hotspot thing for their 5g (and 4g, I believe) towers. It looks like a trashcan mac, and has a battery so if power goes out you can still use internet. Plus, since it's actually meant to BE home internet, you get home internet speeds, ~300mbps download, ~40 mbps upload in the midday test I just ran.
