is there a way to embed javascript plots (e.g., plotly or charts) on a leaflet popup running within shiny?

Hi Brent, these videos of yours have been very helpful for me. Thank you. :) Have you ever tried to add actionLink to the pop-up window? I want to link the show/ hide polygons in my Leaflet map with such an Action button in R. Do you have any recommendations on how to do that? Best regards.

This was great. If there's a way to add hyperlinks that would change with the corresponding popup, that would be great information.

Hey Abigail ! We made a document that will hopefully help you with this. You can check it out at our GitHub repository here: github.com/GeomaTECHs/tutorials/blob/master/custom_popups/README.md

Thanks for videos, they were pretty helpful. What about to use polylines that will allow us to highlight whole streets? I understand that we need several points (instead of lng & lat) from A to B to C etc. How to markup this with csv and how to import it to R?

Hello Rati, If you want to simply draw a poly line from two (or more) known points you can use the addPolylines() function in the leaflet package. If you have a .csv file with columns labelled "lat" and "long" you can simply add them to your map as so: ```{r} library(leaflet) myDF = read.csv("MY_DATA.csv") > head(myDF) point long lat 1 A -79.24857 43.11894 2 B -79.24857 43.11828 3 C -79.24572 43.11831 m = leaflet(data = myDF) %>% addTiles() %>% addPolylines(lat = ~lat, lng = ~long, color = "red") %>% addPopups(lat = ~lat, lng = ~long, popup = ~point) m ``` If you are looking to add a polyline for giving directions then I recommend you check out this tutorial by Chris Hansen: cmhh.github.io/post/routing/ (Plans are in the works to make a video on this soon so stay tuned for that!) Thanks for watching and please keep the questions coming!

These videos have been amazing! Is there a way that pictures could be inserted in these markers?
@brentthorne9423

Thank you for the kind words Aiden! There should be a few different way you can add in pictures into the marker popups. The first way would be to use the html tag and define the source of the image to an online link. For example: To get them to display dynamically you would use the same approach as used for dynamic videos where you add a column in you df with the corresponding link to whichever picture you want for that specific popup. If you need more information on html tag like then I would recommend checking out W3schools.com Hope this helps! Cheers

Thank you for the video. How to format the number "score", such as adding comma and % sign?
@brentthorne9423
5 жыл бұрын
Hello May!! The way I approached this is to use the `formatC()` function inside of another `paste()` function. Below I have posted an updated version of the leaflet map which you can try for yourself and see that the "Score" now has formatting like this: "Score: $4,000,000". If you want different formatting then you can change the "$" to "%" and change the order in which they are written in the paste function. If you need more information on changing the formatting use ?formatC() in your console to pull up the help documentation and see lots of examples on how to use it! Here is the code: # create the leaflet map variable m % addProviderTiles("Esri.WorldTopoMap") %>% addMarkers(data=data, lat=~lat, lng=~lng, popup= ~paste("Hello World", "Name:",name,"", "Score:", paste("$",formatC(score,format = "d",big.mark = ","), sep = ""), video, sep=" ") ) # print map m Hope this helps!
