a Big thank you, James. Enjoyed the 30 days. I have learned so much. My confidence is up as I'm getting almost all you showed us in the past 30 days. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos enjoyable and understandable. Great work, and the best part is that one can review the past 30 days. Much appreciated.

Hi James, from the UK. This series of courses has been just what I needed. You pitched it all just right and your easy friendly manner and careful explanations were most welcome. I’ll need to revisit quite a few of the series to get into shape (more views for you) but keep up the great work! I’ll continue to check out your content for sure. Thanks for really helping me on my way!

Hey. I just watched your 2 videos 30 songs with just 4 chords. Excellent! I am an amateur guitar player who hasn’t played guitar in years. Decided to dust the guitar and start slowly. After watching these videos, you got me hooked again. Many thanks. And congratulations on these videos. I just discovered your channel. I subscribed and will be looking for other great videos you have done.

Before I started watching the 30-day series I already knew a bunch of open and bar chords. But in my arrogance, I just watched and didn’t actually try to do many of the exercises. Well, when day 30 came around I could not even keep up with the most basic songs. So…I’m back at day 8 and this time I am really putting in the work. For me, my biggest take away is to really practice the silent switching, and especially the strumming patterns, and the hidden gem…work with a metronome! Hopefully, by Valentines Day I’ll be where I should have been on Jan 31. Thank you, James. You are a wonderful teacher.

Quick note about Country Roads -- if you put a capo on the 2nd fret, you can play it in its original key, while still playing only G, C, Em, D (and the F that one time in the bridge).

Hi guys just wanted to leave here my deep appreciation for your videos and I wish I had internet when I first started playing the guitar....I had jumped from the violin to the guitar and I was pretty much self taught..anyway I started a band in the late 90s, recorded and had some cool concerts....after I served in the army my band broke up and later on I had an accident and cut and damaged some nerves on my left had so this means after all these years I still find useful what you do since I'm starting over again from scratch...thanks again. ❤❤❤❤❤

Does anyone know if it's possible to play these in a "key" lower? if that's the wording for it. For some of us who are more "baritone" many of these Pop songs are tougher to sing. Is there a solution like that for those of us who aren't as proficient in the higher vocal ranges?

As someone who has never identified as a "good" singer myself, it is not really a necessary skill. I mean these songs are so nice to play with others that someone else ends up singing anyway! Also - you always sound worse to yourself.

Although I appreciated your inspiring me to add some new covers to my cover list, Eagle Eyed Cherry's "Save Tonight" is NOT in that key, and you left out the F. I went to Guitar Tabs. It is Am F C G. I wanted to see if I could transpose down 2 steps to do your G version and no. With smaller hands, I just play an F5 power chord, or in some cases, an F7. But, I am glad you reminded me of this song I loved so much. As a singer, you have to also sing in a key that suits your voice. The original in Am is PERFECT for me. "Go Your Own Way" is in D, and there is a Bb and F involved. Personally, I would take it down a half step with capo 1, Play it in E, leaving one with the chords staying close to each other: E B A for the verse, and C#m A B for the chorus (power chords). Or even better, Capo 3: Verse: D A G and Chorus: Bm G and A. I'm going to write up that version now! I can sing Fleetwood Mac for sure. www.kamalinden.com
