When practising Cambridge exam tasks for your preparation, you'll need to infer the meaning of some of the vocabulary as your focus should be on understanding the text and getting the questions right. However, when you've finished the task, I recommend you go back and read the text again, this time paying special attention to the vocabulary you don't know. A lot of the words and phrases will be advanced and very useful - a great way to expand your vocabulary range, straight from the exam itself.
