These past couple of months I watched forged in a fire a lot and I am inspired by them a lot that's why I decided to build this coal forge. This forge is made out of 4 mm thick mild steel and I lined the walls with 1" thick refractory cement to make it more insulated. I also laid a 1/2" thick layer of refractory cement on the entire surface of the forge so that if I have to heat treat long knives than I can able to heat them very easily. If you are using a 1/2" thick steel plate that you have no need to lined the fire pit. When I performed my first test I found that the fire pit walls turned into bright yellow color and I think If I am going to run my forge for a couple of more minutes I completely destroyed my fire pit. I also added 4 locking casters to each of the legs so that I can move this heavy forge where ever I want.
