Hi, Ronnie! I am from Indonesia and I am an International student in Montana. I have an experience about toilet story, lol;) Commonly, in Indonesia call Bathroom is toilet. Before I come to the USA I used to called washroom with name toilet, but now I am not calling it for any more and I used to call washroom or bathroom. Therefore, I have an ambarrac story about say toilet. It was when the first time I studied English in my previous college in Jakarta before I come here. The story was when I got a stomachache, so I went to bathroom and had been there for longer time, it was about an hour. Next, after turned from there to class my English teacher asked me. He said, "Yulianus where have you been"? I said directly, " I have been toilet". Then he asked me again with said "TOILET"? I said yes toilet sir. He said again, " from the inside of the toilet'? I was confused and felt ambarrac stood in front of the my friends and had an ambarracing question like this. However, later he explained to all of us that a meaning of the toilet and what are the some proper words to say instead being say toilet.

I’m an English teacher myself and have worked as one in South America for over 20 years. I have come to teach the language in something I call grammar tips and just regular grammar topics and this very approach has been super useful to help my students understand or see under a different light English. It is that when I did not find water to wash myself. in our country we have a dosch like or a hoose producing water so that u can wash yourself while u r sitting on the toilet so u do not need to go from toilet to pedeit which i find it disscusting and we use tissue only to dry that water

I've had a similar experience in Ireland. My pronunciation isn't the best and because they say 'toilet' and "bathroom" sounds weird for them, more than once when I asked "where is the bathroom?" they replied "bedroom???". It's really awkward lol.
