Really like your explanation of golpe. This elusive, intriguing technique is benefited by your realistic example of what it sounds like at first. Your message to persevere and know it can smooth out through practice is very encouraging. Thank you.

¡Gracias por las amables palabras! Me alegra que lo preguntes. Cuando enseño en inglés distingo entre “slap” y golpe, pero cuando enseño en español no distingo.

The A string on my guitar not sure how to make that sound. Are pressing other strings for it?
@Flamenco4U
6 ай бұрын
Hi Ruth! Thanks for stoppin’ by! After playing your A string, rest your thumb on the D string briefly. This will be a rest stroke. Secondly, make sure the edge of your thumbnail is filed nicely-otherwise you won’t be able to produce a quality tone.

Hi Ben --sorry --what are carbon strings ? never heard of carbon fibre strings ?-are they better than nylon ?
@Flamenco4U
8 ай бұрын
They are made from fluorocarbon/nylon. Have a brighter sound with quicker response. Nylon strings to me feel smoother and the tone is more even and traditional.

I find it best to practice isolating "and 4 and 1", then the rest fits in more easily.
