I wish I had a canon vs Sony for my Real estate Photography. Canon auto white balance combined with flash is always white. Sony and Godox seems to give me issues and I have to use the Kelvin adjustment. Yes a raw image WB can be tweaked, but if you send that Raw image off to an editor they only see what they get..

Great - fast - streamlined. Thanks. Exactly what I needed. Your ambient photo was pretty darn good. I’d like to see if you could have just edited that in Lightroom - and gotten close to where your flash edited photo wound up. I’m thinking - side by side, there’s not much difference.

Would love to see that too. I used to carry the AD300 but lifting it up all day long over my head I was afraid I was going to ruin my shoulder. Switched to the AD100. Much lighter but ended up having to shoot at f4 and ISO800 (instead of ISO250). Dark walls and floors just absorb all my flash power!

How about OpenFrame...? Regarding tools to send your clients the files (photo/video) what do you use or recommend...? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this... Thank you! cheers! ;)

How would I know whether or not I have enough flash to spread throughout the ceiling when doing composites? Could you paint the ceiling with light using a fast shutter speed and then rely on the light from the ambient/luminosity layer to cover furnishings? I am an overthinker.

Flambient, if done correctly does look better than HDR bracketed. There are lots of drawbacks though. First and foremost, time on site is much longer. Especially when you take an average of 35-40 photos on a residential real estate property shoot. Some Realtors wait on site while you work and they want you to be quick. All of the post editing including blending, masking layers, erasing yourself from the photos etc seems like a lot of work. I see why you outsource your editing. If you don't have a never-ending subscription to Photoshop and Lightroom forget about flambient. Also...when you outsource all your editing you are at the mercy of your overseas editor getting your media back to you, done correctly and quickly. What if your Realtor client needs them faster? Or the editor doesn't do a great job? How embarrassing would that be to have to explain to your Realtor client? If they don't like the photos you have to send them out for editing...again. Also, as you show in the video, extra equipment needs to purchased and on-hand for flambient. More gear to lug around back and forth to every photo shoot as well. Bottom line is...most Realtors really don't care about the extra quality flambient produces over HDR bracketing. Especially if you charge more for it. Maybe for higher-end properties it might be more advantageous but for the majority of most property listings its really more than is needed.

It’s all personal preference, I think, and I have outsourced my photos for over three years now, and it really just comes down to finding a solid editor that can handle the amount of workflow you give them. It’s worked great for me!

The property it's self really doesn't matter. Toyota Corolla vs Bentley. One takes a few hours to assemble, the other a few weeks. You want the clients who want the Bentley

With my workflow I can shoot an entire 2,500 sqft house using flambient in 30-45 minutes. The process he is showing here is time consuming and inefficient, I agree. It's because he outsources his editing that he is not proficient or skilled with the process. I have my entire editing workflow set up with actions in Photoshop and I automate all my edits through a batch process in Photoshop. I literally load up all my photos into Photoshop, click automate and select my action. Takes about 10 minutes depending on how many photos. Once it's done I go through each one and review them before exporting back to light room. The whole editing process takes me about an hour at most and I can have the photos to my client by morning next day. I agree with you as well about outsourcing the editing, I don't agree with it and would never outsource my work to someone over seas.
