As a HUGE HP fan who has seen and still watches this movie countless of times and who also is obsessed with the French language and want so bad to learn, I approve this method of teaching !! 💯👍🏽

Je suis etudiante francaise - I learnt in school and merrily forgot most if not all of it. I've just started again as you can see by my terrible attempt there. Merci beaucoup. I love hp, more of these s'il vous plait 😊

I always wondered if the magic words they use are universal in phonology or if they can have regional variants like dialect. Like “leviosa”may the proper way, in that it’s what gets taught in school, but maybe in America it could’ve pronounced like “levioser” and it would still work. Phonology changes so much between languages and so constantly that I can’t imagine that magic words are exempt totally. Like a medieval wizard speaking Middle English will say those same words and sound complete different from how a modern wizard would say it, even if it were the same exact word the phonology would change (eg “fame” in modern English is said like “FEIm” whereas in Middle English it’s more like “FAH-muh”. If both tried to say the word even in the same context they would be totally different
