That's great. There's plenty more where that comes from. We'll be putting more up in future weeks as we can return to our track.

Ah, okay. I'm afraid we don't currently offer online coaching for field events - it is something we hope to do in the future. Good luck with your development. We hope it goes well.

Can we start hammer throw at the age of 24 And go for olympics
@MomentumSports
3 жыл бұрын
Yes - it is quite a late maturation event - so many top hammer throwers are well into their 30s. As with any event it takes a long time to master, but it certainly isn't too late at 24 to start.

where is overtaking the hammer?the athlete always goes away from the hammer, does not fall into it.I feel sorry for the athletes who will hide all the mistakes behind large kilograms of the barbell and will throw the hammer, weight and bench in the same way

This video shows that a knowledgeable trainer is not needed! You just need to rotate, it is not known how to make a strong final effort. And the fact that the athlete jumps over the left (pivoting) leg, the body weight remains on the pushing side and with each turn it falls more and more on the pushing leg, the legs squat and stand not at all to accelerate the hammer. In hammer throwing, there is NO balance in the stance, there is a balance in the hammer-thrower system between them to accelerate the M - M system !!

Thanks for the comments - we fully understand that these videos are not advanced and at no point have we said that athletes can become great throwers without a coach. In fact, as a team of coaches we'd be doing ourselves out of a job if we did! What these videos are aimed at doing is providing a basic introduction to the hammer throw to whet the appetite of athletes and potential athletes as we try to encourage greater participation in the event and sport in general. Good luck with all your athletics.
