Great tutorial. Thank you. For those who find it difficult finding internal pockets, if you cut one of the two pockets pieces in a contrasting fabric, sew the long seam and move the seam so when the side seams are finished a stripe of the contrasting fabric sits on the top of the pocket, it still matches but is highlighted.

I love the pattern and the fact that it has so much style yet, it is not difficult to make. Misty, you are an excellent teacher! Love this tutorial! I agree with others about making the pocket using a coordinating fabric so that it does not match the lining. Also, I made all my components (straps, pocket, zipper sides) before I started sewing everything together. That way I could just sit down and sew which is my favorite part. Love Missouri Star!

Yes it is. The teens call it Cottagecore. There are vast majority of teenagers and 20 somethings who are getting into thrifting their clothes leaning towards florals. It all started during the early days of Covid. Now many are raiding grandmas’ closets and tailoring them to the contemporary style. I think it’s wonderful that this generation are seeing thrifting, repurposing and recycling as a lifestyle.
